MAIN COMMITTEE MESSAGE

The look back at a year in the beginning of the New Year is always wonderful. It gives an opportunity to reflect on the year that is gone and looking forward to the new one. In the last quarter, the club is always very busy and is a hive of activity. There were a number of events especially the fireworks in November and followed up with the popular Pantomime, this time exploring the Witches of Oz. A New Year Eve Party followed this. The Holland committee decided to take a dip in with a dive. We are now looking forward to yet another popular family event, the Kinderfeest, which is very popular with the children and the families. February we will have the Regatta, an event that has attracted our members who have moved on to different posting and countries.
I hope you will all enjoy these events with your families and friends. All the events in the club are organized sections. The members are all volunteers who give their time and put in lots of efforts for the benefit of the whole community. Throughout the year, we have events planned for you all to enjoy. If the section losses these volunteers, unfortunately, it will shut down and will be a loss for the whole community. So please volunteer and support the sections by offering time as well attending the events. Ras Al Hamrah club is a safe family oriented facility and it is all our responsibility to keep it that way.
Enjoy the club facilities and do so in a safe friendly manner. This is a place where we meet and interact with people from different backgrounds; I would appreciate to show respect and tolerance towards each other. A very important point is showing respect towards the club staffs, they are there to serve you and the security who are there to make sure that all of us can enjoy the facilities in a safe environment. I hope that we will all support each other to keep the club a safe family place for all to enjoy.

On behalf of the Main Committee,
Khalid Jawad Al Khabouri
President
